People Who Are Busy for Haibao

Meaningful Design of Haibao Products

Feng Chuan not only likes Haibao as other people do, but also has deep affection for the mascot. He considers the design of Haibao Products very meaningful, because it is a contribution to the Expo.
Designers have designed a series of city Haibao images, from “Painter”, to “Love Song Prince”, “Sports Fan” and “Fashion Seeker”.
Talking about the design of franchised Expo products, Sheng Wei, a designer, pays more attention to their functions. She thinks that the products are not only for memory, but also for use, providing both aesthetic and convenient features. She revealed that the “Happy Spring” series soon to launch will have enhanced functions.
Haibao, not just Merchandise

In the Expo 2010 franchise shop on Oriental Pearl, Ms. Xiao bought 3 Haibao dolls and several Haibao pillows.
According to Ms. Sun, the enthusiasm for Haibao related products has started since Haibao was first unveiled last December. “Particularly, after the Olympics, consumers have shifted their interests in Fuwa to Haibao”.
At present, over 30 Expo franchise shops are open in cities including Beijing and Shanghai.
Happy Birthday, Haibao!
Interviewee: Zhang Yan, student of Sports School of Shanghai Normal University
Zhang Yan is a student from Sports School of Shanghai Normal University. Talking about the birth of Haibao, we have to mention the over 24,000 dominos set up by Zhang Yan and her schoolmates to present him to the world in a unique manner.


“Do you remember the day when Haibao was born?” Our question drew Zhang Yan’s thoughts back to the night on December 18, 2007. “Of course, it’s a lifetime memory,” Zhang Yan said. Now, Zhang Yan feels happy to see so many Haibao images on the streets. “Happy Birthday, Haibao!”
