If you ask where Haibao is?
The answer is “everywhere!”
It is true. The image of Haibao has appeared ubiquitous in just one year’s time.
On squares, people are joyful to take photos with Haibao’s sculpture; in schools, cheerful students give applauds to Haibao costumed characters performing greeting dances; in bookstores, people keen on knowledge are led by Haibao to the world of Expo; in communities, Haibao stays with residents, and senior citizens are rejuvenated and active in becoming Expo volunteers.
Besides Shanghai, Haibao has been to cities of China and go overseas. He is a guide, star, actor, instructor, messenger…in whatever capacity, Haibao works ceaselessly to send the greetings and invitation of Expo 2010 to the world.
In this one year, Haibao has grown along with the Expo into the heart of people.

In February 2008, the first Haibao sculpture appeared on the Zigzagging Bridge Square of Yu Garden, and inflamed an Expo fever around the old town area. Since then, you will always see the joyful tourists around the sculpture at the Zigzagging Bridge.
It isn’t an easy year since Haibao came to Yu Garden. As the origin of Shanghai Old Town culture, Yu Garden receives about 37 million tourists every year. Facing numerous tourists, Haibao stands there, sending out greetings and invitation from the Expo, and making Yu Garden the best place for promotion of Expo 2010 and attraction of visitors

Haibao is just one year old, he has travelled a lot around the world.
By now, over 200 Haibao sculptures have been placed, and nearly 100 of them went from Shanghai to other domestic and oversea cities.Besides, Haibao sponge toys and dolls have also been to numerous places.

Along the viaducts, in business districts and by main roads, are flags fluttering with Haibao’s image on them. Lighted signs bearing Haibao’s image are seen everywhere at bus stops, airports and railway stations. Billboards dominated by Haibao are erected at Nanpu Bridge, the Expo park, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, etc. More and more Expo elements are appearing in Shanghai.

“Lift up the right hand and rest the left hand on the waist”, about 3 to 5 girls are in T shirts bearing the image of Haibao, imitating gestures of Haibao in smiles. They are members of Expo 2010 University Promotion Team, and Haibao Dance is their core job.
With more and more promotion activities, the students have brought Haibao to every family.
